Keeping our community clean, safe, and healthy—especially for our children—is a top priority for Salim Adofo. We are proud to host a community clean-up bringing residents together to take action.


🌱 What Is Being Done to Address Environmental Justice in Ward 8?

Through the #CleanWard8 Initiative, we are:

  • Bringing people together to clean parks, streets, and waterways

  • Planting trees and supporting community gardens

  • Creating safer, greener spaces for residents

These efforts help improve air quality, reduce environmental hazards, and address health challenges impacting our community.

Everyone is welcome!

  • Residents who care about their community

  • Student groups

  • Faith-based organizations

  • Sororities and fraternities

  • Anyone who wants to see their neighborhood look better


👕 What Should I Wear?

Please wear:

  • Comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Items you may not mind throwing away afterward


👨‍👩‍👧 Can Children Participate?

Yes! Children are welcome.
We encourage parents and guardians to closely supervise younger children to ensure everyone’s safety.


📝 Can I Receive Volunteer Hours?

Yes!
Volunteer hours can be provided for:

  • Community service requirements

  • School or work programs

Yes—refreshments will be available for all volunteers!
