This legislation would remove the current household income limit for the District's disabled veteran property tax benefit and replace the existing deduction with a 100% property tax exemption on a qualifying primary residence for eligible disabled veterans. The bill would also extend eligibility to surviving spouses of qualifying disabled veterans and veterans who died in the line of duty, provided certain requirements are met.
