Be Your Brother’s Keeper: Black Love Day Service at the 801 Men’s Shelter

📍 Location: 801 East Men’s Shelter
2720 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave SE, Washington, DC
📅 Date: Saturday, February 14
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM

In honor of Black Love Day, Commissioner Salim Adofo is calling on brothers across our community to show up in the spirit of love, service, and responsibility.

This winter, many good men are facing hard times. On February 14, we will come together to feed the men at the 801 Men’s Shelter a hot meal and remind them that they are seen, valued, and not alone. This is an opportunity to live out the principle of “Be Your Brother’s Keeper” through action.

All are welcome, members of fraternities, Masons, church men’s groups, community leaders, and anyone with a good heart who wants to give back. Whether you can volunteer your time, donate supplies, or simply show up in solidarity, your presence matters.

To support this effort, please consider donating an item from our Amazon wishlist to help us provide a warm, dignified meal during these cold winter months by clicking here.

Let’s honor Black Love Day by serving, uplifting, and standing with our brothers.

Love is action. Community is responsibility. Service is power.
